Well, on average it was 4 mentos per bottle. Matthew got a little excited and put in six once but four seemed to do the trick. It works with any carbonated beverage but nothing fountains like diet coke.
As for entertainment, I am very busy but I figured we should do something fun (and crazy) in the last vestiges of summer. I leave in two days, the 24th. I miss you all!
Joel, you horrible person. I'm ashamed to know you...*hehe*
Well Phil, I think I saw you once this summer for about ten minutes at Tyler's party. I hope your last days at home are wonderful and that you find some amazing, crazy (but ultimately safe) way to finish your summer...just don't light anything on fire.
Laura, you know I think the world of you, but I must disagree...Phil, most definitely light something on fire, just not if it means putting lighter fluid on the coals after the hamburgers are already cooking.
You do have a point, Joel. Lighting something on fire might be justified if you use lighter fluid to make it all the more spectacular (but I guess using it on hamburgers is little...uh...dim-witted). As the spirit leads...
Oooooor, you could do what Sarah did and pour it into a cup made out of you and your friend's (not me) hands, light it, and see who holds on the longest...... http://veritaspotter.blogspot.com/ ...mine, don't know if those care knew...not much there...bu there is one tasty tidbit...
Many of you may remember Daniel Nibler... He introduced me to said lighter fluid hamburgers. I only ate half though so I recovered pretty fast. Jay's was a more lasting experience as I rememeber, he was stll commenting on them many hours later.
Tyler, I must admit I got a little bit of vertigo when I looked at your dorm pictures, just one more evidence that we are in fact all going to college. as another note, anyone who is interested can read that story I wrote in 8th grade about certain people who will remain nameless (even though we all know good and well who they are.) It's all in the past though so we can look back and laugh, or in this case, cringe.

Oh my gosh that was so awesome. Hilarious! What was the ratio of diet coke to mentos?
Wow, you guys...you must be really hard pressed for entertainment these days...when does school start? :-)
No, that was awesome...truly amazing...you both have bright futures. With Diet Coke and Mentos. Good luck.

PHIL! I still have your Poseidon Adventure DVD, I am the worst person to lend movies to I swear. I'll send it with Whitney if I don't see you.
Awesome
