I am mildly curious as to why the "party" hasn't been mentioned, since today was the later option of the two...

hey, who all is back to school already? I guess our all class thing never worked out, maybe around spring time, but we don't all have the same time off. Definitely in the summer. Anyway, later to all of you.

Ok well our little get together plan didn't really work out, but oh well I still love you guys and miss seeing you around. Supper Club was fun and I'm glad we got to hang out then. Ok so back to school, everyone work hard, do good and stay safe. Girls- guard your hearts with those boys, and boys- be nice to the girls...I know you will. Have a great second semester or trimester, or quarter, however you all run. Don't forget to stop by and say hi every once in a while, let everyone know you're alive. I love you all!!!!

you guys,
I got a new roommate, and he's pretty cool, but that's not the point. The thing is, he left his books for his lit. class laying on the ground so naturally I was snooping through them and it looks like he's reading Killer Angels, and Across Five Aprils. Now Killer Angels I can't imagine is that bad, but Across Five Aprils was torture! I swear I started that book at least fifteen times. Every time we were told to read in class I'd flip it open and start up all over again with Ellen and Jethro out in the potato field and Jethro would say how the people up north would call them Egypt fer sure. And about that time I'd realize that I'd have a much more pleasant time passing notes so I'd proceed to do so. Anyway, it made me think of you all so consider your selves though of!

wow I'm suprised you remember that much of that book. All I remember is......oh yeah it wasn't wprth remembering. Hope you like your new roomate! miss you Joel!

I shudder at the very thought of Across Five Aprils...fitting title, though....literally felt like it took five stupid years to read about Jethro. Killer Angels was good--we did all read it senior year, remember?

So...the naysayers of doom are once again proclaiming that we'll have snow in Portland. Yeah right. We haven't heard THAT before. I do feel sorry for the news people....they are so happy when then can issue dire warnings about snow and blizzards and avalanches and polar ice caps and what not.

It's hard to tell from this blog, but I trust that you all are alive. I'm majorly bummed we didn't have a party, but such is life. Glad to hear your roomate is normal, Joel...that's always good.

not that Across Five Aprils was a blunder Tyler, but yeah, it wasn't really worth remembering. As for snow in Portland Laura Wil, tell us if it happens. It snowed here last night and some today, Chelsea says it snowed there as well, and my cousin in Corvallis said it snowed there too! The point is, I wonder if it's gonna start up in Portland area. Do all you all have MLKJ day off next monday? I can't pretend to be anything but overwhelmingly ecstatic at the thought of it. Btw Laura, I don't know if normal is quite the right word, he constantly wants the window open and it's like freezing outside! Seriously, I love having the window open... in the Spring! But when it's snowing and the rooms are hardly heated anyway, I say keep them closed.

Did anybody watch The Golden Globes? If so what did you think? I was pretty happy all things considered, the only person I cared about really was Jennifer Hudson for her role in Dreamgirs. Anyway, miss you all, talk to you later I'd imagine.

So, it finally snowed here...hooray. I still have to go to work. It's all rather ridiculous, but I got yesterday off, so I guess I can't complain.

I watched a grand total of ten minutes of the Golden Globes...and I haven't seen Dreamgirls, so, sorry Joel, no comment. However, I did finally see Cache.....and let me say, I am CONFUSED! I barely realized it was over. I guess I missed something along the way or maybe I'm one of those stupid movie-watchers who needs every major plot device telegraphed before it happens...anyway....

Laura if you must know you are probably the smart one for NOT watching! I can't say I didn't want to see them, but in truth I was really just sick of my roommate watching sports so I was like "yeah, I really need to sere the golden globes" I'm actually going to see Dreamgirls again tonight since it's cheap students night at the local theater. As for Cache, well we all know you aren't one of THOSE movie watchers laura, but what can we say... it is a French movie after all, so for it to be not confusing wouldn't really work. If you want confusing, try watching The Fountain, possibly the most pointless and befuddling movie I've ever watched. We had snow here too, in fact they canceled all morning classes so I'm just now getting up.

I would suggest you NOT try watching the fountain. Pointless yes, don't bother PLEASE!!! I would like to see Dreamgirls though itlooks cool.

So I've heard...

I saw Children of Men a few days ago. It was great...absolutely brilliant, though a little dark and disturbing. And that birthing scene may have turned me off of having children for a long time.

Laura I, too, saw Children of Men and I totally agree with you! Clive Owen is one of the best actors of his generation, on this subject I will hear no disagreement! Ok maybe a little, but I still think it's true. A bunch of the people I've talked to whine about how it's hopeless and has no resolution and I think they're about as wrong as possible. To say the very least, it was incredible to see a movie where the life of one baby was so valued when there are so many babies aborted in our country and all over the world. I seriously thought it was one of the best movies of the year. The camera work was crazy! Enough from me... for now, but yes Laura I'm glad to hear you liked it.

Hey y'all! I know that I haven't been on here in a while, but I need prayer and I thought this was the best way to contact everyone. As many of you know, I had to go back home for a funeral last weekend, which added some major stress to my already busy life. But God has been gracious and merciful, and He is FAITHFUL to bring me through. But that isn't the point; the point is that I have two major decisions ahead of me, and I need wisdom so that I head in the right direction. One relates to school and the other to my personal life. I can't really give out many details at the moment, but if y'all think of me over the next few days, please send out a prayer for me.

Never fear, all is well, so so well, I just don't want to blow it. I miss you guys so much!! I hope you are finding a greater direction and purpose for you lives. I smile when I think of you! Have a blessed and meaningful week. All my love, Laura G

PS Keane is the greatest band EVER!

Tyler,
Mr. Hills made cds, but I gave mine away after I'd put them on my computer. email would certainly be a grueling process. When's your spring break? I'm sure you could have one mailed out to you if you don't want to wait that long. I have yet to get my hands on Abigail's pictures, or anyone else's from our class for that matter so one of these days a massive spread of photos is bound to take place.

Laura G, I hope all is going well, I think of you often, mostly I feel guilty though because I never returned your book! Why this love of Keane? They are indeed a great band, have you just become acquainted with their music?
